"Al sentir la voce di Gretchen, Faust decide di togliersi la vita. Non esiste né anima né corpo, rimane soltanto Gretchen e l'innocenza del Mondo" ... Riuscite ad immaginare come sarebbe il Faust di Goethe nel 2020 in una serie tv prodotta e distribuita da Netflix? Faust und Netflix è una colonna sonora cinematografica, un album visionario di 14 tracce composte da Francesco Malaguti che raccontano un Faust alternativo nel quale Margherita (Gretchen) è la protagonista ed eroina della storia. Forse umana o forse ginoide, Gretchen vincerà su Faust e Mefistofele in un mondo distopico, allo stesso tempo gotico e futurista. La musica di questa immaginaria serie Tv, tra reminiscenze della musica antica e forti influenze industrial-noise, brano dopo brano tratteggia sia i personaggi che gli eventi in una successione mozzafiato, senza mancare di citare i grandi della colonna sonora italiana come Moroder e Morricone. Un ritratto a 360 gradi del poliedrico strumentista e compositore bolognese, che spazia dall'elettronica alla chitarra sola con disinvoltura totale e firma insieme al produttore artistico Gerolamo Sacco "Gretchen's tale", opening e closing del disco.
